Terms & Conditions

  • The vehicle will not be used:
    • By any other person that his details are not written down on the rental agreement;
    • by any person no in possession of a valid driving license
    • by any person under 21 years of age;
    • by any person who has, within the past five years, been convicted of any offence in connection with a motor vehicle withthe exception of parking offences; or by any person for whom an insurance company has declined to accept, or refused to renew insurance in his name, or imposed special conditions or required an increased premium in connection with motor insurance;
    • by any person who suffers from defective vision
  • The vehicle should be kept locked at all times when it is not in use and any belongings should be taken away by the user since neither the policy and Joe’s Rent A Car are not responsible for any private belongings.
  • Any person who suffers from any physical infirmity, or hearing and is over 70 years of age should present a doctor’s certificate that the hirer is fit to drive so that he will be covered by the Policy.
  • Drivers must present a copy of their driving licence to our representative before they drive away with the vehicle.
  • Additional days to the rental period must be reported before to Joe’s Rent A Car, failure to do so the hirer will not be insured by the policy.
  • Traffic offences and fines must be paid by the hirer
  • Any damages made to vehicle during the rental period, has to be paid by the hirer
  • The Collision Damage waiver does not cover any damages to tyres or wheels neither any interior or GPS Navigation damages
  • Additional driver on the rental agreement is subject to €5.00 extra per day
  • GPS Navigation System Rental €6.00 per day
  • Child Seat €4.00 per day
  • In case of any accident, THE VEHICLE SHOULD NOT BE MOVED UNTIL THE POLICE/WARDENS ARE AT THE SCENE and the company should be notified immediately. NEVER ADMIT LIABILITY.

In the case of front to rear collision, a form is provided in the vehicle and must be filled up and signed by both parties. Traffic / Collision Warden: (+356) 21 320 202

  • Vehicle should be returned with the same amount of petrol when collected otherwise a minimum charge of €10.00 will be charged
  • The company reserves the right to terminate the hire should the hirer:
    • be careless with the vehicle or reckless with his driving, or fails to abide with any of the above terms and conditions.

Petrol Stations are open Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 6:00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m. On Sunday and Public Holidays they are closed. Automatic Pumps are still available on 24/7 basis and they normally take €10 and €20
